This card can be quite instawin. I just played this (admittedly on turn 14 in the nuts UR looting deck) for 40 cards and passed the turn to win the game. Even at X not twice X it would have won me the game in my opponent's next draw step.

Reducing to X, which may still be too good. Just got it off for X=11 on turn 7.

Thomas Baker · 2012-05-31 14:37:41

Correction, it was X=15 on turn 7.

Should almost certainly not be Common otherwise mill is going to be a ridiculously good drafting strategy.

Evidence from actual playtesting is so valuable! I guess in traditional cube there would be only 1 copy so the danger is lessened, but if it is playing about as good as Increasing Confusion, then it probably needs to increase in cost and rarity. Feel free to keep changing it.

Don't think we want super milling at common unless milling is a theme of the set. Prefer it to be occasionally viable rather than one of the main plans?

Thomas Baker · 2012-06-04 17:21:17

Yeah, I agree. I'm just wary that we have taken out or disliked almost every answer/hoser to the lifegain deck. Will need to see how it plays out.

making it less likely to be splashed
