There is an argument that he should cost 2R, but you really need your looting spells to be low cost so that you can then cast your Empty the Libraries and pay for your Wastrel's Wrath triggers. I think he is okay as is, if we are really worried, can always make him a 2/1 or a 1/1.

I think random discard is just awful. If you are holding Empty the Libraries you can't cast this guy even though he's an awesome enabler for it. I prefer reducing stats over any other change but let's keep him as is for now?

This is really good despite not looking like much. The double looters are ridiculous with Mindstorm and graveyard interactions. Looting Charm is probably fine because it costs a card, but this comes with a 2/2 for only one more mana! I think he should be reduced to only loot once since increasing the cost makes him pretty useless at getting madness and/or mindstorm. That or cut him completely...

I was thinking about this guy last night too. He is definitely the sleeper best common in red, way better than looting charm most of the time. I agree he would be fine either as a 2/2 with single loot, or maybe a 1/1 with double loot. I think single loot and 2/2 is best as then he is viable for red aggro too.
