Yay! This was one of my favourites from before.

This is pretty insane since it's a 3-for-1 when you cycle it and play it, a 4-for-1 when you cast it twice and replaces itself when you don't need it (plus triggers all the discard effects).

I think you pretty much always cycle it, don't you? Discard two on turn 8/9/10 doesn't sound too exciting. So it's Mind Rot + draw a card for 2 + 3B (probably on separate turns). That sounds OK to me but I am in the realm of pure theory.

I guess it is a pretty strong turn 6/7/8 play to empty your opponent's hand and draw a card.

This card does offer a lot of value, but I don't think any particular bit of it is too good. Would anyone complain about this card: "4BB - Target player discards two cards. Draw a card". Even if you costed that at 3BB it would be fine and at 2UB also. I guess it is just the utility on this that is so strong.

Yeah, getting the choice is worth quite a lot but I don't think it's out of hand.

Thomas Baker · 2012-06-01 10:59:08

As much as I love this card, it is our only cycler, and we have a discard spell at common. I vote we retire this or move it to common!

Simon O'Keeffe · 2012-06-12 15:43:59

Agree that this can go. The common one is totally fine.
