Agreed, otherwise I think this just never gets played. Can't wait til we find out Portent is now totally broken with all the new enablers ...

Nothing wrong with this. I kind of like Portent here because sometimes Mind Rot is going to be useless so getting rid of it from the top seems good. Also I hate that uncommon version with cycling & flashback!

This card is not super-strong. I figure in a full draft it might often end up in sideboards. But I played it last night from my pool of 36 cards. I actually held on to it against Simon's mono R discard combo but it was otherwise fine.

Maybe cut it as it is something of an enabler for B and R opponents? We can skip one traditional B thing at common without breaking Magic I think. Didn't play either from my Sealed pool in my B deck last night.

The thinking that it is an enabler for B & R opponents isn't quite right in my opinion, but I do agree that it is fairly unexciting and will probably get cut from maindecks. Perhaps we can shift one of our popular uncommons back down to C to fill its slot?
