Very possibly, though we haven't really seen it in action yet. I'd assume this will mostly be cast on a little guy, so you'll at least lose a creature yourself and the lifegain is likely to be minimal.

I've seen it played twice, both times it was cast on a small guy to trade with a big guy and gain some life. Card disadvantaqge, but flavourful removal in green.
