Changed to Shroud since Wizards aren't likely to be mixing it up in combat much and there are a lot of amazing but vulnerable ones this will protect.

Needs to be cut or changed if we are dropping Wizards as a minor theme.

I know Wizards isn't a theme any more, but this Protection is really relevant in this format and the +1/+1 is the good part of this anyway. Upped the equip cost slightly because the ability is a bit better.

Protection from Wizards isn't really that good any more - basically all the remaining ones are too small to worry about. Would protection from Humans work? Considered protection from cards with Portent, but I think that would be a bit good.

maybe have it give frost titan's protection ability? not sure how that would template though
