Different version, not sure if it actually works though as you have to mill yourself before you can grab what you want!

I quite like this as a "worse but conditionally better" Diabolic Tutor. Apart from the Madness cost, since that really is a Red ability in the set. Would prefer it if it had Flashback since that fits better with B/x rather than just B/R. Also it probably only works if it doesn't target!

Meant to make madness flashback, and also tie the number of cards you dump into the GY to your life total

Paul Hodgson · 2012-06-21 10:45:41

Make it more B

Holy shit, what does this even do? I was going to say I hate anything having a cost of BBB but if every card in the set is playable then mono decks are much more possible than in a normal Limited environment.

Heh - it's a "what happens when you listen to the voices in the black tower" card. They may give you what you want, but at a price. It also gets worse if you go back to listen again...

Paul Hodgson · 2012-06-25 10:12:38

So I milled myself for 22 with this last night. Sadly I just did it for fun because I didn't really have a deck that wanted that effect. But I'm pretty sure it's broken in the right deck/draft.

Thomas Baker · 2012-06-26 07:32:59

Conditionally broken isn't a bad thing at rare though?

Paul Hodgson · 2012-06-26 08:36:46

If you play an 8 man draft there will always be one of these in the draft. So, our rares are not rare like real rares are rare. This has the same frequency as any given card in cube.
