I like it. The drawback is pretty significant though, you basically need a portent guy to come out even. I've played a lot with the 4/4 for 3G in Duels of the Planeswalkers who makes you return a guy to your hand each upkeep. There are at least a lot of come into play abilities to abuse with him. Not sure we have the same depth for this guy. I'd almost be tempted to make him a 5/5. Is nuts with Deepwater Grasper though!

I was worried about the Grasper combo, so didn't want to make it too good, but then realized that because this doesn't put the creature on top face up (because I forgot to put that on the card!) you need Foresight and a Portent creature to keep this from ruining all your draw steps, so it's a pretty big risk to just run it out turn four. Actually increased his Power rather than Toughness so he gets the same base stats as the other Murlodont!

It's so you can Portent whatever you put on top. If it was upkeep you'd be forced to draw it.
