Overwhelm on non-creature permanents is where it's at. Takes out bigger guys provided you're prepared to swing with everyone.

I would say that positive power / negative toughness effects are normally red, but I could see this as black or maybe R?B hybrid?

I just ripped off Patriarch's Desire for the effect, but it could easily be -2/-2 for each one if it's staying mono-black. If we're going to use hybrid, then R/B hybrid makes a lot of sense!
