This is just mean. Nobody likes having to sacrifice their lands to do things. This seems like the sort of effect that stops games being fun, since it makes it impossible for you to get back in the game if you're behind.

Fair point indeed. How about we colour shift it to white and make it so that spells cost your opponent 1 more to play? Like half a Grand Arbiter?
