Recent cards like this are GB. If mono B would have to return a creature only?

I think I agree with Tom here, it's basically regrowth with upside. Also, I think that this needs to somehow target but not sure how to template that! Maybe use : "then return a creature card from your graveyard to your hand. If you spent G to cast this you may return a permanent card from your graveyard instead. If you spend U to cast this you may return a sorcery or instant card from your graveyard instead."

I think it would need to be: "then return a permanent card from your graveyard to your hand." and it should certainly cost more than 1B, probably 2B

How about making this cost GBW? Returning Instants & Sorceries would still be a little odd but black does get 'return anything' on occasion and it would be nice to have a spell for each wedge at common.

Only problem with making it BGW is that we have so few slots for tri coloured cards we have to be really careful what goes there. I think this can work in just B or GB and still be useful.

This probably doesn't even need to exist. There are enough mill effects at common and I just made a mono-green Regrowth variant.

Yeah, I vote to retire. It's a fine card but somewhat OP and we have a lot of cards like this.
