Strongly believe fixing should be wedge-colored only to reinforce the theme. Even if it makes the rules text unwieldy. Aren't these strictly better than basic lands?

Yes, these should actually have an etbt clause on them. That is how we played them last night. Either way we didn't really like them that much.
