Black has better synergy with this but it makes more sense in Green. Plus Green needs instants.

Happy to let this go - The idea was that you get to blank a removal spell or block on your Emerge guy or Immolate target then sacrifice it later. Plus draw a card. Probably too niche to ever come up in practice though.
