Trying a wedge-keyword more toned-down tricolored common. This card is still very good so perhaps I am not trying hard enough!

I really like this card. Less nutty than the previous incarnations but very solid. Only problem is he is always Shock Helix in some form or another (the other Immolate cards sometimes just come out as dudes). Perhaps that is ok though?

I think that is okay. You want the signature wedge card to really make use of its mechanic, not just have it as a occasional add on.

Isn't this actually quite a bad deal for the cost? If you have to pay WBR for a worse lightning helix then it isn't very good, but his stats are pretty low so you'd only really be happy immolating a 1-drop.

I'm pretty sure I'd pay 3 mana for a bad sorcery speed shock helix in almost any limited format. Could give him first strike or lifelink or haste or any combination thereof.

I think first strike would be good. Then he can be a Knight which makes a lot of sense in this colour combination.

This guy was always great. I never had to self-immolate, but I don't think I would feel bad if i had to. Probably the best of our CDE commons.
