Having a go at Battlemages. This one is definitely my worst. Idea is to get abilities that are in both the base colour and the one you pay.

Maybe have the B ability to be opponents lose 2 life instead of gain?

I think it supposed to be an ability both colours could have. White doesn't really have straight life loss for opponent. Could switch it to a drain effect? (opponents lose 1 life, you gain 2 life). Extort shows white has this in pie

Originally I considered a straight life loss effect. Then I realised the power boost on an unblocked creature basically does that. So I just made it the opposite gain life effect.

This guy was pretty great for me today. Battlemage abilities are another thing that you can do in your upkeep!

The gain 2 ability was actually quite strong. Probably way better than the other one!
